Notice that 14 of these most highly rated cable news shows are on FOX. Larry King is the only CNN show to break the top 15. Congratulations Larry. Some FOX shows, like O'Reilly and Shepherd Smith, appear twice on the list, with their repeats.
Why FOX?
Why does FOX continue to dominate cable news, despite its demonization by liberals?
Could it be that FOX reports the TRUTH?
I think yes.
FOX is the only cable news network that is pro-America, pro-truth, mostly conservative, on the side of the military, rooting for America to win in Iraq, and willing to speak the politically incorrect truth about matters like terrorism.
In my opinion, CNN has a more global approach to the news, and so sometimes is more interesting. They take the viewer to different parts of the world and to different cultures. This is fine, and a good thing. Unfortunately, they go a bit too far. They see all of us as citizens of the world, which is okay, but they forget that we are also Americans, with quite a great country. They get lost in their identification as citizens of the world and blur the line between the good guys and the bad guys, for example. They want to understand why the world hates us, instead of realizing that part of the reason why the world hates us is CNN, which is too willing to broadcast the evils of America.
FOX, on the other hand, will certainly report America's failings, as in criticizing the Iraq War, but FOX, as opposed to CNN, will be rooting for America to win.
Long Live FOX News
FOX will continue to dominate cable news for some time to come, I believe, because they love America and tell the truth, and people like this. It's a simple formula.

ReplyDeleteFox news is about the only think that allows me to keep my sanity, some folks would dispute my sanity, but those folks are still crying about Air America being flushed.
Fox did it with class, they took a full page add congratulating Larry King for his place in the top 15. Most of the time you find me in agreement with your opinions but today you are a hands down winner, like Fox News.
